The Cupcake Girls are always looking for committed, passionate people who’d like to join our Las Vegas and Portland teams. We offer a wide variety of volunteer positions to fit an array of interests. What we ask of our Volunteers:

  • Attend monthly team meetings in-office (remote available if outside of Portland & Vegas)
  • Complete 5 hours per month
  • Attend one-on-one meetings with direct manager
  • Report hours weekly
  • Join our annual peer-to-peer fundraiser

While each team does have specific tasks, we will always do our best to find a way to gain room on a team where your skills will best fit!

The Volunteer Application Process

In order to ensure the best experience for our volunteers and clients, The Cupcake Girls ask all potential volunteers to pass a background check, submit an application, and complete an in-person orientation where we’ll help match your unique passions and skills to volunteer opportunities.

1) Submit An Application

After your background check clears, we will send you an invitation to attend orientation. At this time, or any time along the way, you are welcome to contact us with any questions.

2) Pay & Complete Background Check

Because of the sensitive and confidential nature of the work we do, we require all volunteers to pass a background check. Once your volunteer application is submitted you will receive an email with the link to complete and pay the $17 fee for your background check. Please contact us if the background check fee is a financial burden for you; financial assistance is available.

3) Attend Orientation

You will be invited to the next volunteer orientation when these steps are completed.

Orientation will acquaint you with The Cupcake Girls mission, and train you in the basic culture and methods of our organization. At the end of orientation, we will connect you with the team that matches your skills and interests.
